Foam Expo North America 2024
The Foam Expo North America 2024 took place from June 25-27 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.
Baumer of Americas participation at the Foam Expo 2024 focused on three primary themes: local cutting tools production, retrofits, and digital advancements with SOPHIE.
Local cutting tools production: Baumer emphasized the advantages of local manufacturing, such as faster delivery times, greater flexibility, and cutting tools tailored to customer needs. Advanced technology and precision manufacturing ensure the reliability and durability of their products.
Retrofits: The retrofit concept, particularly the automatic grinding unit, was highlighted as a way to improve machine performance and optimize work processes.
SOPHIE: To meet the growing demand for digitalization and automation, Baumer presented its Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This software optimizes production processes by providing real-time data, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring high product quality. It integrates seamlessly with existing systems and supports better decision-making through detailed analytics.
The Foam Expo was well-attended and proved to be a significant success for Baumer, leading to numerous valuable conversations with customers and new business connections. Additionally, Baumer highlighted their partnership with KSM, focusing on advancements in laminating systems.
